Today is March 6 this is time with God, I’m Pastor Dennis - I’ve been waiting here for you. Welcome to our life transforming community. We are doing something of eternal significance. We are redeeming the time. That is one of the basic premises of TWG. We believe that what we do every day is so important that we must do the important things each day. That is why we read the word every Day
What was your day like yesterday? I had a lot to do in the office. I worked hard to get some Easter stuff done trying to figure out the music for the day. If you’d like to sing let me know. I also began to edit our Radio program. I’m really running behind due to Easter. I also prepared for Bible Study in the Evening. We talked about Moses and the Golden Calf incident. A head shaker. Why did they do that? Rick stopped in to visit. He asked me a few tough questions about the trinity which I answered on our forum. Check it out. Bill and Mike were there working on the concrete forms and cleaning up… Oh and did I tell you that my Grandson Bubba threw a brick on the fresh cement? Evie came over to warn me, so I went out and got some concrete patch and smoothed it out. When I asked him if he did it, he gave me his cute bubba smile and said, “no, Esther!”
This week’s theme verse. Matthew 5:8-11 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
I am a son of God (not THE Son of God though). It kind of has a nice ring to it doesn’t it, kind of like being the “Prince of Whales,” or “Princess _________.” It’s catchy. Think about it… you a son or daughter of the Almighty God! Me a child of the Creator of the Universe! I’m good with that. That is the highest privilege I could ever be born to. As far as human lineage is concerned, I was born to a lowly draftsman and his stay at home wife. Not bad. But I have friends who were born to doctors, lawyers and even a millionaire or two. Pretty impressive. But what could be better than being born again as a child of God? NOTHING! Isn’t everyone God’s child? I suppose in one sense that is true. We are all God’s CREATION, made in His image. But because of sin, we are all cut off from our first family. We have been “divorced” from the divine. Now if we want to be adopted back into God’s family, we must request it. Dear God. I know I’m a sinner, separated from you for all eternity, unless you save me from this fate and adopt me. Please implant in me a godly nature like yours so that I will once again bear the stamp of the divine family and be invited into your eternal home. It’s GOOD! To be a child of God!
Dear Father. Thank you for inviting me into your forever family. This is one invitation I am certain to accept. Thank you that you love me so much that you want me. You accepted me. You hug me and hold me close. I love you too! It feels good to be a child of God. It feels more right than anything in my life! I love knowing that you are the perfect dad, even though I’m a really imperfect child. The love you have for me makes me want to cry out “abba, father,” daddy! And thanks for sending my big brother Jesus to make it all possible. Love, Me!
