Today is Saturday. Today is our valentine banquet at 6 PM I hope you are there. I hope to see you. I hope to have some time off today to run some errands and be with Susan. Yesterday it was all focused on the message called “One Last Reproof,” a final message on Galatians that Paul aimed at those who wanted a stylish religion just for the sake of keeping up appearances. Image is not everything – a new creation is everything, said Paul. I also did music practice in the morning, and after a delicious dinner provided by Marcia, Carl and I went visiting. I finally got home about 10:15 and it was off to bed. I didn’t set the alarm thinking I’d sleep in, and I did. I slept in until 5 AM! So here I am.
This week’s theme verse. Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths.”
Trust is the basis of the Christian life. It is essential to trust God for personal guidance. You can trust the Principles of His word to be true for your situation. God knows what He’s doing in your life. It is really a matter of the heart. If we trust Him with all our heart, God will guide our paths. Proverbs 3 tells us NOT to lean on our own understanding and instead to lean on Him, no matter the decision. By leaning on God, we are putting Him in the driver’s seat. God’s way is always best. Trust Him. He has your best interest in mind. IF I place my trust in the Lord for the outcome, and acknowledge Him in prayer He will direct me.
Sweet Jesus, my Savior, I’ll trust you with my life. Your word is true in every situation and I believe it. I give my heart to you. I will trust you now when things go well, and I’ll trust you when things aren’t so well. I want to lean on you and put you first place in my life. I believe your way is always best. Dire
