Weekly Theme: Philippians 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing, But With thankful hearts offer up your prayers and requests to God; and the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

One of the great keys to overcoming anxiety, depression, frustration and all many other downers is thankfulness. Learning to be grateful for what God has done. This is a spiritual principle I put into practice whenever I am feeling blue. I begin to remember what great blessings I have… health, family, a great wife, house, car… and the people who love me. When I consider these things I am flooded with the peace of God. It begins to overtake my blues and turn a gloomy day into sunshine. Try it.

Lord Jesus thank you for all that I have in you and all that you have given me. I have so much to be thankful for. I thank you for giving me eternal life! I thank you for hope for the future. I thank you for sending your son for me. I am so thankful for my health! My children! My grand children! And then there’s all the stuff that I “own.” You have given me so much. And I also want to thank you for all my friends. There are so many who love me. I am overwhelmed by gratitude for all you have done. THANK YOU!
